Culled from Sahara reporters.....

Suspected Boko Haram sect militants last night attacked a police facility and bank in Taraba State.
The suspected sect members struck in Karim Lamido township which serves as the headquarters of Karim Lamido local government area of the state.

A military source told SaharaReporters that the gunmen launched an attack with sophisticated weapons burning down the Karim Lamido Divisional Police headquarters with  Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
The source added that the attackers simultaneously attacked the First Bank branch in the township and took away large sum of money. Some eyewitness said the gunmen shot sporadically into the air while the raid lasted.
A resident of the town also confirmed that the town was under heavy gun sound and continues loud bang from purportedly used by the attackers.
When contacted, spokesman for the Taraba State police command Joseph Kwaji said the situation is being investigated, and that the police are yet to ascertain the real cause of the attack adding that preliminary reports suggests that it was only bank robbery by hoodlums in the area.
