Simon Cowell plans 'Afghanistan's Got Talent'

The TV mogul is seeking potential Afghan stars for the show, which will be holding its auditions in the coming months with a view to launching on the 1TV channel in the Autumn.

British troops who are fighting there may also be allowed to enter the show.

A source told The Sun: “Simon has always believed Got Talent can work anywhere, because ― no matter where you are - people have amazing talents.

“There may be a war raging in Afghanistan - but people are still living their lives and they enjoy watching TV just like anyone else.

“Rules are being drawn up but there is a possibility troops will be allowed to enter - assuming they can get permission.”

Cowell already has versions of the 'Britain's Got Talent' format in 57 countries.

It appears in the likes of Brazil, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and South Korea.

Chris Brown Tattoos Scared the ISH Out of Me, Hit-and-Run Victim Says

Chris Brown can thank his tattoos for making a very poor first impression on the woman accusing him of hit-and-run, Olga Gure-Kovalenko tells TMZ.

Olga, who incidentally was crowned Miss Russian LA 2013, said her blood pressure went through the roof after her car accident with Brown last month.

She says she was "scared to death" because he was driving a huge SUV - which Karrueche Tran falsely said was hers - and was covered in tattoos.

And that's before the R&B star lost it and cursed at her, calling her a bitch (among other things) and making the whole experience emotionally traumatic.

The singer, it's worth noting, was wearing long sleeves at the time, so he wouldn't look that inked up ... though Chris Brown neck tattoos are substantial.

Olga says the only thing she got from Brown, who has been charged with criminal hit-and-run over the crash, was expired insurance for his Lamborghini.

He was driving his Range Rover at the time. Brown's lawyer claims the singer also gave her his Virginia license, but the accuser says that's not true.

News: LAUTECH Undergraduate Gets 3 Year Jail Term For "Yahoo Yahoo"

Justice Akintunde Abass yesterday at the State High Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State, convicted and sentenced a young man to three years in jail for obtaining money under wrong pretence and scam. 

The young man was twenty four year old Akinluyi Akintunde who studies Agronomy at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Akintunde was brought to the court on March 13, 2013 to face a two count charge from obtaining money under false pretence. Specifically, he allegedly obtained the sum of $450.00 from one Robert Jackson (an American) via Western Union Money Transfer under a false pretence that he was a lady. In his judgment, Justice Abass ordered that the sum of $450 recovered from the convict be returned to the victim, Robert Jackson through the United States Consulate as restitution.

Also, he also ordered that the laptop recovered from the convict in the course of his arrest be forfeited to the Federal Government.

Young boys/men should concentrate of their studies and not how to acquire ill-gotten wealth. There is too much emphasis on ostentatious lifestyle these days! Hope others learn from his predicament. Do you think he deserved what he got?

25 year old former US marine and Afghan war veteran Alex Minsky has turned his tragedy into triumph. He lost his right leg in an explosion in 2009 after driving over an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan when he was just 21.
After losing his leg, he fell into depression and heavy drinking but with the help of his family, he found himself again and made some changes in his life. He also started working out regularly at a gym and that was where he was discovered by model scouts. Alex is now a sought after fitness and underwear model. "I just want people from nearby and far away to be inspired to try harder and never give up on themselves" Alex said in a recent interview. "I didn't set out to be an underwear model. I was just taking care of myself and working out. It just so happens that I look good in underwear. "

The Ghanaian actress had a very revealing interview with Bella Naija today where she opened up about her relationship with Iyanya and how much he hurt her. Excerpts:

BN: How long did the two of you date and how would you describe the relationship?
YN: We dated for 7 to 8 months. We had something and I thought it was special, like he was a wonderful guy but it was all lies. He had other girls and other things he was doing. Aside the actress that was in the picture, there were a lot more. That is how bad it is. We were in a relationship and he lied throughout and he was able to do all those things because I wasn’t living in Nigeria. But aside from the distance, I feel if you’re a genuine person and you’re loyal, you would still not do that.

BN: Is this actress you’re talking about actually Tonto Dikeh?
YNI feel it’s disrespectful to start mentioning other people’s names. I am talking about Iyanya because we had a thing, I don’t want to bring in a third person. There were a lot of names that people know. There was a girl from South Africa, I’m not going to mention names but she was part of Big Brother Africa last year.

A suspected assassin has confessed to the police that he and his gang was paid to kill the Deputy General Manager of Ecobank in Enugu State, Ogbonne Ogeri Nnachi Ibiam.

Obinna Onyekulujie, the 43-year old suspect, also known as Obaino refused to disclose the name of the person who contracted his gang to kill Ibiam but confessed to the police that he was a member of the Enugu-based robbery gang.

Chris Brown removes duet with Rihanna from his upcoming album

According to celebrity entertainment site, Hollywood Life, Chris Brown wants the duet he made with Rihanna back when they were still together cut from his upcoming sixth studio album, X. Rihanna and Chris collaborated on a song titled Put It Up, that was set to appear on the album but not any more as Chris wants it removed and wouldn’t allow the album to be released unless his label removes the song. Record execs are still hoping to convince Chris or pay him more to change his mind because it would be a hit. So far he is said to be adamant.

X is scheduled to be released July 16.

News: Ex-Police Officer Attacks Wife With Cutlass, Bottle

Police in Ondo State are on the trail of an ex-police officer, Tajudeen Adeniyi, over an attempt to kill his wife, Moyosola, by macheting her, inflicting a 10-centimetre deep gash on her head.

The 38-year-old suspect took to his heels immediately he inflicted the injury on his wife who has  had four children for him.

Adeniyi, according to investigation, has gone underground following the hint he got that the family of the wife had reported the incident to the Police.

News: Two And Half Years Old Boy Survives From A Collapsed 3 Storey Building In Mushin

Tears are yet to dry on the faces of occupants of a 3-storey building which collapsed on Tuesday in Mushin area of Lagos State. 

Two-and half-year-old Chibuzor was unaware of his miraculous survival as he played with his father’s mobile phone on a bed at the Critical Care Bay II of the Accident and Emergency Centre, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos.

At a point, he tugged the hand of our correspondent and smiled broadly when he was asked “How are you?”

The boy, whose parents were among the occupants of a 3-storey building that collapsed on Tuesday at 353, Agege Motor Road, Challenge Bus Stop, Mushin, Lagos, was found under the rubble of the collapsed building by sympathisers who thronged the premises after noticing what happened. Chibuzor’s fractured  left arm was covered in Plaster of Paris and has bruises on his head. A nine-month-old baby died in the incident while three others sustained injuries.

Finally, the long awaited baby is here. Kim Kardashian has given birth to a baby girl. it was a natural birth.  She started having contractions Friday night and went into full labor early Saturday morning

Kim and baby are both in good health. Kim delivered the baby at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this morning ... 5 weeks early. BF Kanye West was there for the entire thing in the delivery room by Kim's side. We're told Kanye cancelled his appearance at his own record release party last night when Kim told him she was feeling "a little off."

It is the first child for Kim and Kanye. Congrats KimKanye!

AT 3:30Am me and my friends were about to leave the Nokia Lumia beat party at the Oriental hotel . As we waited for a cab it was raining all of a sudden we heard a loud noise behind us. We turn to check what has happened, right in front of our eyes we saw a car making drifts and wanting to tumble …first we had the shocking/ trilling feeling we got to actually experience such a magnificent incident… As we rush down to check if their was any survival all of and suddenly we realized it was star boyz new porsche car with the plates ‘W’ as we approached further the MAN OF STEEL (star boy) walks out not only saving him self but along with the girls with him lol, without any scratch or injuries.. The only thing damaged was his new porsche car worth of 50m, i guess we wouldn’t be seeing wizz in his porsche for a while…
